While you’re here I’ll hold you I’ll keep you warm I’ll try to protect you Because when you’re gone I’ll only have memories pictures on my cell phone boxes of recipes So while you’re here I’ll listen to you cry I’ll try to make it better Wipe away the tears Because when you’re gone others will support me and offer facebook sympathy while I sort through your things So while you’re here I’ll hold you you keep me strong and even when you’re gone I’ll always have you

This old Sweater/Has been stuck in the back/for such a long long time Real easy to miss/Pass over it every single time It just never seemed/to be the type of sweater I would want to call mine And now it's thrown in my face/ cover me up and pull the wool over my eyes This old sweater/Doesn't fit me now like they told me it would I've waited for years/To be cozy , just like they said it would But now it's all wrong /It's too loose it's too tight it's just not right But they always said It doesn't matter, it's really in your mind When you've waited for years to shrink, Not to be caught or tangled in the fabric of time Suddenly too small Feel the same, you've just wasted time When you've waited years to shrink Or not to be caught or tangled in the fabric of time Suddenly too small Running to stand still, you've just wasted time This big old sweater may just be a little past it's prime Stretched out, thread bare would always say just give it a little more time But now I'm pulled Under the wool again, til I feel cool again but I can't relax with nowhere to run and hide

What's that Truffuat said? Are women magical? (x2) Didn’t mean to make you uncomfortable drinkin’ in your figure full
but I wish I was finding all your piercings with my tongue oh yeah I can tell you’ve got a great body image ‘cuz it looks good to me and who cares what they say in society What's that Truffuat said? Are women magical? (x2) Girl I can tell you’re strong And not just strong on the inside although I’m sure that you are girl I mean strong like you could pin me to the floor and I wish you would wanna feel you on top of me pin me down so I can’t breathe and then read to me What's that Truffuat said? Are women magical? (x2) Jealous of the ink on your skin mostly ‘cuz it’s on your skin and I wish I was exploring every inch with my fingers just say the word I’ll let it linger where you want me too I can’t get enough of you and your unusual ways What's that Truffuat said? Are women magical? (x2)

Hit the switch to power down and stop lost the tempo for my self and friends who say hello I'm not myself I'm never myself I've just gone too far down When these long years have passed you by with nothing to show for This switch turns the light on, this switch turns it off Hope that they're not the same thing, I've never figured it out I've must have taken something to distract me from the sitting silent moment Numbness overtaking over me just to find release (When you appear), I'm put together (Sewed at the seems), held tight with wire (Put on display) Parade about the town tonight (Until I break) everything comes tumbling Staring in the mirror and inventory of cuts, scars, scrapes, scratches, lumps and bruises Each one could tell me something if I would learn to listen Deafening blow of denial help lets me see thru it (When you appear), I'm put together (Sewed at the seems), held tight with wire (Put on display) Parade about the town tonight (Until I break) everything comes tumbling

It’s never about the last fight It’s always about the last fight When the time comes, to move on It’s never about the music you don’t like It’s always about the times you were nice When the time comes, to move on It’s never about the way I spent my money It’s always about the way you called me honey When the time comes, to move on It’s never about the way you tore me down It’s always about the way you held be up When the time comes, to move on It’s never about the time we ran out of gas It’s always about the way you made me laugh When the time comes, to move on It’s never about the bad breath It’s always about the great sex When the time comes, to move on It’s never about the first fight It’s always about the first fight

about

Pals H and Jubb have been performing avant-leaning electronics under various monikers since 2006. After talking about making a pop record for years, they simply decided one day in January 2014 that they would record A Pop Record for the 2014 RPM Challenge. Taking inspiration from "The Turtles present The Battle of the Bands," they worked with the concept of a diverse collection of loosely defined "pop songs."
